Terminillo can be traveled far and wide by motorcycle. Curve by curve, there’s no area one cannot fall in love with, something that will leave an indelible mark in your mind, that of “I can’t wait to go back there” or “I really have to come back with my friends”. Terminillo can easily become your place of the heart, gifting you with an all-around experience, with summer and winter activities to the delight of adults and children.
So, if you are passionate about motorcycles and you’re always looking forward the summer to come in order to polish it and get it out of the garage, ready for brand new adventures, you cannot give up the opportunity to admire the wonderful landscapes of the Vallonina.
The Vallonina is a valley of glacial and fluvial origin that originates from the Sella di Leonessa, between the crest of the Terminillo to the west and that of the Monte Elefante to the east. It descends long and narrow, a height difference of around seven meters, along the northern slope of the mountainous massif until it reaches the inhabited area of Leonessa and flows into the Leonessa plateau, between Monte di Cambio and Monte Tilia.
Starting from Rieti, towards Morro Reatino-Leonessa, you will travel along the SS521 road: a wide roadway, with asphalt in excellent condition and curves of all kinds, will take you to Leonessa all in one go, surrounded by tree-lined landscapes, canyons and the pointed peaks of the Apennine. From Leonessa, towards Terminillo, we enter the Sella di Leonessa and here the Vallonina show begins. Beech woods classified as sites of Community importance, naturalistic beauties and unforgettable landscape beauties will involve you in an extremely positive way.
