Now in its 12th edition, the Città di Rieti Literary Prize is an important appointment with contemporary
Italian literature.
Born in 2009, the Città di Rieti Literary Prize is an invitation to reading and to spread love towards creative
writing. A love that has been translated into a prize that, over the years, has become increasingly known
among contemporary Italian writers and whose importance is underlined by the famous names that, year
after year, have left the coveted award to the following winner.
From “La solitudine dei numeri primi” by Paolo Giordano, passing through ” Più alto del mare ” by
Francesca Melandri and “Non dirmi che hai paura” by Giuseppe Catozzella, up to “Come una famiglia” by
Giampaolo Simi, winner of the last Edition, it is 12 years now that the stage of the Flavio Vespasiano
Theater has been warmly hosting the awarding of some of the most important names in Italian
contemporary literature.
