Alpine Skiing

An almost one century long history and lots of emotions, as pure as snow. Alpine skiing on Terminillo was officially born in 1933, when the winter resort overlooking the Rieti valley begins its long journey made of steep slopes, still loved by those who are looking for a technical and fascinating skiing experience.

The intermediate position of Terminillo in fact, between the highest chains of the Apennines and the volcanic hills of Lazio, allows you to gift your eyes with a magnificent view of the Tyrrhenian Sea and on clear days, of the capital city of Italy, Rome. For tens of thousands of inhabitants of the region, skiing is a habit and a passion, which is rewarded with slopes for all difficulties, professional ski instructors and spectacular panoramas.

Lazio’s best-known ski resort, for decades Terminillo has been known as “the mountain of Rome”, an imposing white giant that watches over Rieti and its valley. From the most challenging slopes, such as the Giusti and the Cinzano, to the simpler ones that run among beech woods, Terminillo hides many experiences to live alone, in close contact with nature, or with your family and friends.

Its northern side, then, houses Campo Stella ski resort, in Leonessa. Here wide and sunny slopes in the upper part become narrower and winding in the lower one, making skiers discover a wild and uncontaminated land.
